Our house was built in the early 1900's so who knows if it even had an indoor watercloset or an outhouse in the beginning...? What I do know, is somewhere in the last couple of decades a somewhat thoughtful D.I.Y'er decided to put a large bathroom on the mainfloor. The problem...is...they forgot the rest of the tub or perhaps they figured this fabulous fiberglass would give the illusion of a clawfoot (which I would LOVE to have!!). However, the Good Lord says "in whatsoever state I'm in therewith to be content." That state includes a state of incompletion in my 8x8 bathroom!
I have a thing for old windows...so...
Until the forunate day when a gracious soul freecycles a clawfoot...I am content!

Make one contentment decision in your house today and tell me about it!!

My contentment decision is to be content with ... a dorm room. I cannot WAIT to have a house to decorate - but, for now, the extent of my daily decorating is arranging my book shelf. :) It is a stepping stone, however, so I won't complain :) That being said, mom had a claw foot tub in her flower garden forever! ...I'm not sure where it is now, but I am certain it is in no condition to actually be used as a tub! :)

Love the idea! By the way - I'm totally OBSESSED w/ enamel wear. I have so much it's pitiful! I need you to give me some gardening tips because I'm awful at that! We've got 5 acres of beautiful land. We have a huge garden (filled w/ wonderful topsoil), barn, chicken coop, fruit orchard (about 12 trees and 5 blueberry bushes), an swing on a ginormous oak tree, and a fire pit! It's almost too much for me! We are adding on to the house this year and I would like to get your feedback about plantings around the house later, if I could? So much to pick your brain about! ;) Love the blog - glad you jumped on the wagon too!
Katie...as the song goes "You're gonna miss this...you're gonna want this back..."
However, nothing is fun forever! So...keep up the goodwork on your bookshelf because you will have more "bookshelves" than you think you can handle in the next 5 years of life! I did think of your mom's bathtub too!! I noticed it was gone when I was there in September...
Tracie...you are making it hard for me to be content when you describe your dreamy 5 acres:) You should take more pics outside and let the world see your domain!
You inspired a future post about keeping up with beautiful messes outside...
Oh...and pick away when you are ready:)
Love your windows, of course I love all of you decorating! Today I am going to be content with my blah decorating! I am accepting the fact that I just don't have the touch!
Love the arrangement of the window. I think of all those times I gave windows away. But now I have a few again. Like the enamel ware too.

Well....if I had to pick one thing...I am content with my carpet until this summer and maybe I can replace it with wood....but let me tell you it is a stretch at best to say content!!! Lovely idea with the windows. Looks great! Happy VTT!
Very creative use of the old windows, and I love your enamelware!
Somtimes it's hard to be content isn't it? I choose to be content with the original, very beat up 1971 kitchen I have because I am blessed to have a home! I would agree that it would have to be a choice to be content with that fiberglass "tub" but you have a very nice arrangement of vintage items to distract the eye from it.
I love this and have always wanted to go it over my pony wall in my entry. Now that I see yours, I might have to. Thanks for linking up!
